Institute
of Business Administration has recently launched the
MBA (MIS) Evening program which commenced from
August 2002. This is a specially designed curriculum
keeping in mind the needs and requirements for
professionals who are in need to further enhance
their professional qualifications in the field of
Management Information Systems (MIS). The MIS
discipline combines a blend of courses in both
Computer Science and Business Administration. The
courses are designed with emphasis on both theory
and on hands-on laboratory sessions
This program consists
of 66 credit hours spread over 22 courses. This
includes basic as well as advanced Finance,
Marketing, Management and Business Administration
courses. All courses offered are 3 credits each
except Lab-based courses which will carry a load of
4 hours, delivered in 3 hours of class room teaching
and 3 hours of supervised lab. Students may register
for courses subject to following limits.

Applicants to the MBA
program must
have a bachelor's degree (with a minimum of 60%)
from recognized university in any area of study. The
IBA also accepts holders of professional degrees (B.E.,
M.B.B.S., etc). Students who have qualified for a
Bachelor’s degree must have:
I. Minimum 16 years of
education (without failure)
II. Minimum 60% marks
at terminal level or minimum 2.50 (at a
scale of
4.00) CGPA where applicable
