Q- When does the admission process start in the IBA ?
A: The admission process usually starts in May & June and the admissions are advertised in all the major national newspapers.
Q- What MBA Programs are offered at IBA and what are their fee structure ?
A: - IBA offers the following Programs in MBA leading to various specializations.
Q- What is the minimum academic requirement for MBA ?
A: A Bachelors degree in any discipline or any professional degree with at least 50% (like BE., MBBS.)
Q- What is the duration of the MBA Program ?
A: Actually there are two different durations for the Programs:
  • 2 years for the Morning Programs

  • 3.5 to 4 years for the Evening Programs

Q- Are Credits transferable ?
A: There is no provision for transfer of credits from any Pakistani or International University.
Q- Are exemptions offered to candidates who have already acquired other equivalent degrees ?

Q- My final result has not been announced. Can I apply for admission ?
A: Yes, applicants whose final year results have not been announced at the time of the interviews may apply and should have no deficiency in the previous years of their studies.
Q- What Undergraduate Programs are offered at IBA and what are their fee structure ?
A: The Programs are as follows:
Q- W hat is the duration of these Undergraduate Programs ?
A: The duration of each Undergraduate Program is 4 years.
Q- The Undergraduate Programs used to be of 3-year duration, so are these new programs ?
A: Yes, the old programs were of 3 years duration; however since August 2002 all Undergraduate Programs are of 4 years duration in order to be at par with the international standards.
Q- What is the minimum academic qualification requirement for the Undergraduate Programs ?
A: The minimum academic requirement for BBA/BCS Programs is a Higher Secondary Certificate with 50% marks, irrespective of any field of study pursued up to intermediate level. 'A' level students must have a minimum of a 'C' in each of three principal subjects; no credit is applicable for any subsidiary, general, or advanced supplementary paper. Applicants to the BCS program must have taken Mathematics.
Q- Which Institutes are affiliated with IBA ?
A: From Janurary 2005, all affiliations have been terminated for new students.
Q- When does the Summer Semester begin at IBA and what is its duration?
A: - The Summer Semester usually begins around the last week of May. The duration is usually six weeks, and ends around the 15th of July. Classes of each course are held thrice a week on alternate days generally in the evenings.
Q- How many courses are offered in the Summer Semester?
A: - The number of courses varies from year to year. Last year (in 2004) around 30 Courses were offered.
Q- How many courses can an IBA student take in summer?
A: - Generally not more than two courses, but only one if you are on internship.
Q-Which courses are offered in the Summer Semester?
A: - The course offering is subject to the number of students who register in a particular course. Registration usually begins a few weeks before the start of the Summer semester.
Q-Who can take admission in the Summer Semester, and how does one apply?
A: - Regular as well as visiting students can take admission. To apply students must come in person to the city campus, and visit the Evening Program Office between 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Details of the offerings are generally advertised in the Daily DAWN/JANG starting in April onwards. Students studying in foreign universities can also take courses in the Summer Semester to earn advance credits in their universities. Such students are required to provide a recommendation letter from their university.
