   Not only is the IBA the oldest graduate business school in the developing world, it is the first such institution outside North America. The IBA has earned the reputation of being one of the leading business schools in this part of the world. It was established in April 1955 in collaboration with the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. Later, it was associated with the University of Southern California. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) set up various facilities at the Institute.
